Well... I talked to my husband and he agreed to letting me keep Aussie (that's what I named him for now) until we find his owner or otherwise a new loving parent for him.
Also I decided that I will start my own charity. I don't like giving to others because 1. We don't really have much money 2. You don't know where your money goes. So for now I don't think I will become a legally incorporated charity, but maybe one day in the future. For now I will just shelter lost dogs until we can find their owner or a new home if no owner can be found. We do have enough money to feed and water the dogs. The only thing that we cannot afford is to take them to the vet for things. For that we will need donations. But over time I will work on that.
We are about to move to a new house soon and that will be perfect for sheltering lost dogs. It sits on 0.6 acres that are completely fenced in, so tons of room to run around and play! :)
If you have any pointers or suggestions how to go about doing that, PLEASE let me know. I need all the help I can get so that I can help man's best friend. Especially how to go about getting donations so I can keep helping those poor animals.
